Description
In "First School Day," we are greeted by two adorable cat figures captured in a moment of anticipation and perhaps a little nervousness about starting school. The work's vibrant palette of acrylic paints is complemented by detailed elements in oil paint, giving a textured and dynamic feel. The cats' expressive faces and school bags exhibit a humorous and playful character, enhanced by the slightly distorted perspective. In the background, we see maps and flags, evoking a school environment with global influences. The artwork combines realism with elements of abstraction and captivates the viewer through the clearly recognizable symbols and the story unfolding on the canvas. The artist's choice of subject—drawn from everyday scenes—is a tribute to the innocent joy and curiosity of childhood, reflecting a sense of familiarity and nostalgia.
